Meeting with the Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania


On July 2, the Ambassador of the Order of Malta to Lithuania, H.E Manfred Ritter Mautner von Markhof, met with the Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania Arūnas Dulkys.

The most important Maltesers activities during the pandemic were discussed at the meeting: Maltesers assistance at the airports, fundraising campaign “Let’s help Lithuanian doctors fight coronavirus”, assistance in managing the pandemic peak in hospitals and social care institutions, Young Maltesers projects to strengthen mental health, participation in the vaccination process.

There were also discussed how Maltesers could contribute to reducing the negative effects of COVID-19 on mental health.

The Minister thanked the Maltesers for their active participation in the management of the emergency, sharing the best practices of other countries. It was agreed to continue to work closely together on relevant issues.

According to the Minister, Maltesers activity is a wonderful example of citizenship and solidarity.

The meeting was attended by the President of the Order of Malta Relief Organisation (MOPT) Mr. Bronius Einars,  MOPT Head of Organizational Development Mr. Edvinas Regelskis, as well as the Ambassador’s Adviser Mr. Krzysztof Wardawy.
