To be awarded to Order of Malta members and volunteers who have risked their health<\/h2>\n

To express gratitude to those who provide assistance in an emergency situation and to give a tangible sign of the special contribution made by members and volunteers in specific campaigns, the Sovereign Council has established the \u2018Sovereign Order of Malta Campaign Medal\u2019, which complements the\u00a0Order pro Merito Melitensi<\/strong><\/a><\/u>.<\/p>\n

Given the global presence of the Sovereign Order of Malta in dealing with the pandemic, the first Campaign Medal is being awarded for the Covid-19 emergency. It acknowledges the Order\u2019s members and volunteers who have put their health at risk to bring aid to those directly or indirectly affected by the virus.<\/p>\n

The Grand Magistry will assess recipients of the medal \u2013 whose metal bar bears the inscription \u2018Covid-19\u2032 \u2013 proposed by the Order of Malta\u2019s Grand Priories, National Associations and Relief Corps.<\/p>\n
