{"id":289,"date":"2022-02-27T14:54:22","date_gmt":"2022-02-27T12:54:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lithuaniaembassy.smom.rc.77test.co.uk\/news\/the-order-of-maltas-reform-in-the-audience-with-the-pope\/"},"modified":"2022-10-14T11:46:32","modified_gmt":"2022-10-14T09:46:32","slug":"the-order-of-maltas-reform-in-the-audience-with-the-pope","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/lithuaniaembassy.orderofmalta.int\/en\/news\/the-order-of-maltas-reform-in-the-audience-with-the-pope\/","title":{"rendered":"The Order of Malta\u2019s reform in the audience with the Pope"},"featured_media":290,"menu_order":0,"template":"","class_list":["post-289","news","type-news","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":{"focus_on":"no","breaking":"yes","news_cover":{"id":290,"url":"https:\/\/lithuaniaembassy.orderofmalta.int\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2022\/06\/Pope.jpeg"},"news_content":"<p>Pope Francis received in audience the Lieutenant Grand Master Fra\u2019 Marco Luzzago, Cardinal Silvano Maria Tomasi and his working group and a delegation of the Order of Malta.<\/p>\n<p>The focus of the meeting \u2013 which took place on 26 February in the Pope\u2019s private library in the apostolic palace \u2013 was the Order of Malta\u2019s reform.<\/p>\n<p>In a letter sent to the Order of Malta\u2019s leaders worldwide, Marwan Sehnaoui, Chairman of the Steering Committee for the Constitutional reform process, expressed his gratitude to \u2018His Holiness for having dedicated two hours of his valuable time to the Order of Malta\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The Holy Father began and ended the audience,\u2019 Marwan Sehnaoui\u2019s letter continues, \u2018by stating that he had taken to himself the final decision-making of the critical issues regarding the Order\u2019s constitutional reform. Pope Francis listened carefully to the presentations and interventions of both sides. After the exchange of views, the Holy Father said that there is no urgency in making a final decision.
