Ambassador of the Order of Malta to Lithuania H.E. Manfred Ritter Mautner von Markhof presented Credentials to the President of the Republic of Estonia H.E. Kersti Kaljulaid in Tallinn On July 6.

He became accredited Ambassador of the Order of Malta not only to Lithuania, but to the Republic of  Estonia as well, so, his activities will expand to both countries.

During the conversation, the President Kersti Kaljulaid asked in which areas Ambassador plans to start his activities in Estonia.

The Ambassador replied that first of all he is ready to listen to the Estonian people, understand their needs, and only then plan activities, which will be needed the most.

The President Kersti Kaljulaid drew attention to the need for help for people with the mental disability, as well as for the children with autism.

President E. Kersti Kaljulaid noted that she also has an important international mission in the field of health, being the United Nations Global Advocate for Women, Children and Adolescents’ Health.
