The Prime Minister has welcomed the active involvement of the Order of Malta in the working group to coordinate and address issues related to the provision of assistance to groups affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

It will be followed suit in terms of setting up a working group for joint activities with the Order of Malta Relief Organization.

The issue of illegal migration across the Lithuanian-Belarusian border and the activities of the Order of Malta in addressing problems related to illegal migration have also been discussed at the meeting.

According to the Prime Minister, today Lithuania needs the solidarity from the EU and the international community, as the Lukashenko regime uses people – illegal migrants – as a weapon, as a tool.
